‎Match played at St Famille ends with APR WVC demonstrating superiority

‎On this afternoon, in the Rwanda National Volleyball League (RNVL) women’s championship, APR Women Volleyball Club (APR WVC) continued to prove that it is among the strongest teams, defeating Ruhango WVC in straight sets 3–0 in a highly anticipated match held at the St Famille indoor stadium.

‎This match was part of Phase II, Round XII, where both teams were eager to collect crucial points in the 2025–2026 league campaign. From APR WVC’s side, it was evident that the team was determined to further build its reputation for strong performances in this season’s competition.

‎The first set saw APR WVC display strength and solid teamwork among the players. With powerful serves, effective blocking, and well-placed attacks, Ruhango WVC struggled to organize their game. The opening set ended 25–12, clearly highlighting the gap between the two teams at that stage.

‎In the second set, Ruhango WVC showed slight improvements, trying to strengthen their defense and ball distribution. Despite their efforts to get back into the match, APR WVC maintained control, playing with confidence and experience. The set concluded 25–16, with APR once again asserting itself as a team that does not easily relinquish dominance.

‎The third set was marked by increased resistance, as Ruhango WVC pushed harder in attack, hoping to at least secure one set. However, APR WVC remained calm and clinical, capitalizing on key opportunities especially in the decisive moments. The set ended 25–21, sealing a 3–0 victory for APR WVC.

‎This convincing win reinforces APR WVC’s growing confidence and strong position in the women’s RNVL standings. On the other hand, Ruhango WVC will need to review its performance and address its weaknesses as it prepares for upcoming matches.

‎Volleyball fans across Rwanda continue to enjoy the increasing competitiveness of the league, as teams showcase talent and improved quality of play offering hope for a bright future for the sport in the country.
