RAYON SPORTS WFC WINS THE PEACE CUP AFTER DEFEATING POLICE WFC
Rayon Sports Women Football Club once again demonstrated its dominance in women’s football after defeating Police WFC 2-0 to win the 2026 Peace Cup in a highly anticipated final match.
The game featured intense competition between the two sides, which are among the strongest women’s football teams in Rwanda. Rayon Sports WFC started the match aggressively, searching for an early goal to put pressure on Police WFC.
In the first half, player Odette Nguema opened the scoring for Rayon Sports WFC with a beautiful goal that excited the fans who had come to watch the match. The goal boosted the team’s confidence and allowed them to continue attacking with determination.
In the second half, Police WFC tried hard to find an equalizer, but Rayon Sports WFC’s defense remained solid and disciplined. A few minutes later, Umwari Uwase Dudja doubled the lead with a second goal that completely ended Police WFC’s hopes of making a comeback.
The victory showed that Rayon Sports WFC is currently in excellent form and determined to continue shining in different competitions. Rayon Sports supporters celebrated the trophy with great joy, saying their team continues to bring them pride and happiness.
As for the prizes, Rayon Sports WFC received 8 million Rwandan Francs as the tournament champions, while Police WFC was awarded 5 million Rwandan Francs as the runners-up.
