RAYON SPORTS WFC PLAYERS BOYCOTT TRAINING OVER UNPAID BONUSES AND SALARY
Players of Rayon Sports WFC refused to train on Wednesday and Thursday after failing to receive their outstanding bonuses (primes) and their January 2026 salary.
The players reported to Nzove, where they usually hold their training sessions, but left without training. They say each player is owed 190,000 Rwandan Francs in match bonuses from games against (Indahangarwa, Kamonyi, Forever, and Macub) in addition to their salary for the first month of this year.
The club’s management had assured them that funds from FERWAFA would help resolve the issue. However, upon arriving in Nzove, they were informed that there had been an error in writing the bank account number, which prevented the money from being processed.
The players consider this an excuse, claiming that the funds were actually received but used for other purposes. So far, it remains unclear when the issue will be resolved, as training sessions continue to be suspended.
