POLICE WFC DEFEATS INYEMERA WFC 5-2 IN WEEK 22 OF THE RWANDA WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

 

The highly anticipated Rwanda Women’s Super League match between Police WFC and Inyemera WFC, held at Kigali Stadium, marked Week 22 of the season and ended with Police WFC defeating Inyemera WFC 5-2.

 

In recent weeks, Police WFC had demonstrated their skill in home matches, and this game quickly showed that they are a team vying for a top spot in the league. The goals for Police WFC came in the 2nd, 40th, 67th, 80th, and 87th minutes, showing a consistent and dominant performance throughout the match. For Inyemera WFC, their goals were scored in the 51st and 63rd minutes (penalty), but they could not withstand the pressure from Police’s players.

This victory ensures that Police WFC finishes the season in 2nd place with 54 points and 46 goals scored, confirming their position as one of the strongest teams in Rwanda’s women’s league. On the other hand, Inyemera WFC finishes in 7th place with 27 points and a goal difference of -7, reflecting a challenging season.

This match serves as an important lesson for all teams in the league: maintaining strong performance throughout the entire match is crucial for success. Police WFC has shown that they are among the teams capable of contending for the title in the near future.
