FOREVER WFC DEFEATS BUGESERA WFC AWAY, ENDS THE SEASON WITH A WIN DESPITE LOWER RANKING
On matchday 22 of the Rwanda Women’s Super League, Bugesera WFC hosted Forever WFC in a match that ended with a 1-0 victory for Forever WFC. Despite being the final game of the season, both teams showed strong determination and fighting spirit until the last minute.
The match started with Bugesera WFC attacking, looking to take advantage of playing at home, while Forever WFC displayed solid defense and a calm style of play. The first half ended without a goal, although both sides created some chances.
In the second half, Forever WFC scored the only goal of the match after making good use of a scoring opportunity. This goal changed the momentum of the game, as Bugesera WFC increased pressure in search of an equalizer, but poor finishing and missed chances meant the match ended without them scoring.
Although both teams were not among the top ranked sides, the match showed that each team had the desire to finish the season strongly. The players demonstrated effort, teamwork, and determination, making the game enjoyable for the fans.
After this match, Bugesera WFC finished in 8th place with 24 points and a goal difference of -9, while Forever WFC ended in 9th place with 20 points and a goal difference of -19. Despite winning the final match, Forever WFC remained behind Bugesera WFC in the overall standings.
This final match of the season showed that even lower ranked teams can deliver competitive and exciting performances. It is a sign that women’s football in Rwanda continues to grow, with teams showing ambition to improve in the future.
