RAYON SPORTS WFC REACHES SEMI-FINALS AFTER DEFEATING APR WFC IN THE PEACE CUP
In a thrilling match played in the Peace Cup competition, Rayon Sports WFC defeated APR WFC 2-1, securing a place in the semi-finals (1/2) with an aggregate score of 2-1. It was an intense encounter, with both teams showing strong determination to win until the final whistle.
Rayon Sports WFC started the match on the front foot, and in the 34th minute, Mukeshimana Dorothee scored the opening goal to give her team the lead. APR WFC kept pushing for an equalizer, but Rayon Sports’ defense stood firm.
In the second half, Rayon Sports WFC continued their attacking play, and it paid off in the 60th minute when Umwali Uwase Dudja scored the second goal, strengthening their advantage. APR WFC managed to score one goal later on, but it was not enough to change the outcome of the match.
This victory secured Rayon Sports WFC a place in the Peace Cup semi-finals for the fourth consecutive time, highlighting their strength and consistency in women’s football in Rwanda.
Rayon Sports WFC continues to prove to its fans that it is a strong contender for the Peace Cup title, while APR WFC exits the competition after falling short of its ambitions.
