Four academy graduates earn promotion to Rayon Sports WFC's first team
Rayon Sports Women's Football Club has continued its commitment to building for the future by promoting four talented young players from its youth ranks to the senior team.
The promoted players are Uwimpaye Divine, Umuragwa Celine, Uwabeza Sylvie, and Irakiza Angelique, all of whom impressed the club's coaching staff with their performances and development at the youth level, earning the opportunity to join the first team.
A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN YOUNG TALENT
The decision reflects Rayon Sports WFC's long-term strategy of investing in youth development and creating a pathway for talented young players to progress into senior football.
By joining the first team, the four players will train and compete alongside experienced teammates, giving them the chance to develop further and gain valuable experience at the highest level of women's football in Rwanda.
PREPARING FOR CECAFA AND DOMESTIC COMPETITIONS
The promotions come as Rayon Sports WFC intensifies preparations for the upcoming season, including the CECAFA Women's Champions League Qualifiers, where the club will represent Rwanda after winning the national league title.
The coaching staff aims to build a strong and competitive squad with enough depth to compete successfully in both domestic and regional competitions. Promoting these four players is expected to strengthen the team's options while ensuring the club has a sustainable future.
BUILDING THE CLUB'S FUTURE
Over the past few years, Rayon Sports WFC has demonstrated its ambition to become one of the region's top women's football clubs by combining experienced players with emerging young talent.
The promotion of these four players is another important step in that vision. It not only rewards their hard work and dedication but also sends a strong message to other young players that outstanding performances can earn them a place in the senior squad.
Supporters of Rayon Sports WFC will now be eager to see how the newly promoted players adapt to senior football and contribute to the club's pursuit of more trophies in Rwanda and on the regional stage.
