RWANDA DEFEATS KENYA IN FIBA U18 AFROBASKET QUALIFIERS
Rwanda's U18 Women's National Basketball Team made a winning start to the FIBA U18 Women's AfroBasket Qualifiers, defeating Kenya 77-66 in their opening match played on Saturday.
The game began with both teams battling intensely, each side fighting for points and trying to control the tempo of the match. Although Kenya worked hard to stay close, Rwanda's young stars showcased excellent teamwork, strong defensive play, and made the most of their scoring opportunities.
In the second half, Rwanda extended its lead through disciplined team play and great coordination among the players, leaving Kenya unable to close the gap. The match eventually ended with Rwanda securing an impressive 77-66 victory.
The win marks a perfect start for Rwanda in the qualification campaign and gives the team confidence as it continues its quest for a place at the FIBA U18 Women's AfroBasket finals.
