Rwanda’s women’s national volleyball team have booked their place in the semi-finals of the African Championship after eliminating Ghana with a commanding 3-1 victory.
The Rwanda women’s national volleyball team 🇷🇼🏐 has continued to make the country proud after producing an impressive performance to defeat Ghana 🇬🇭 and secure a place in the semi-finals of the African Championship.
Rwanda came into the match with determination and immediately showed Ghana that they were ready to fight for a place among Africa’s best. The Rwandan players dominated the opening set and won it 25-17, giving themselves an early advantage.
Ghana responded strongly in the second set. Both teams fought fiercely, exchanging points and refusing to give each other an easy opportunity. After a thrilling battle, Ghana managed to take the set 26-24, bringing the match level at 1-1.
However, Rwanda did not panic. The team returned with renewed energy and determination in the third set, controlling the crucial moments and eventually winning 25-19 to move back in front, 2-1.
With qualification within reach, Rwanda entered the fourth set with one clear mission — finish the job. The Rwandan players maintained the pressure, displayed great teamwork and fought for every point before sealing the set 25-18.
The final whistle brought huge celebrations as Rwanda completed a 3-1 victory and officially secured its place in the African Championship semi-finals. 🇷🇼🔥🏐
Rwanda will now wait to discover its semi-final opponent, who will come from the quarter-final clash between Tunisia 🇹🇳 and Egypt 🇪🇬.
