Rwanda U15 Girls Team in the Hope Battle in Kampala

‎The Rwanda U15 girls’ team is representing the country in the 2026 CAF African Schools Championship – CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers, currently taking place in Kampala. Today, they played their first match against the host country, Uganda. Despite showing determination and fighting for their flag, Uganda managed to win the game 2–0.

‎Undeterred, these young girls demonstrated great resilience. In their second match against Kenya, they showed remarkable improvements and commitment, finishing in a draw, proving that they deserve respect and have the potential to compete on the international stage.

‎Even though the journey is challenging, the team continues to build confidence, with every match offering lessons and renewed energy. Opportunities are still available, hope remains high, and every minute on the field is an important step toward victory.

‎Areas to improve or focus on in matches:

‎— Decision-making in attack (finishing) to convert chances into goals

‎— maintaining possession and coping with pressure from strong teams

‎— Better coordination among players and managing the final minutes effectively

‎ - Continuing to show confidence and competitive spirit, which often leads to victories beyond expectations?

‎These girls are still standing strong, still on their journey, and Rwanda continues to support them. Victory is still possible, and the battle is far from over.
