REG WBBC delivered another impressive performance, overpowering Friend’s Basketball Academy (FBA) from Côte d’Ivoire with a score of 81–53, proving once again that they are making strong progress in their African campaign.
This victory is their second in three games, earning REG the second spot in their group and securing a ticket to the quarterfinals (1/4 finals).

On the FBA side, their group stage journey ended without a victory and with a tough -82 point differential, marking another difficult outing away from Côte d’Ivoire.
What Does REG Need to Reach the Final?
For REG WBBC to make it all the way to the final, they must:
1. Win the quarterfinal game
– This is the first step toward reaching the semifinals.
2. Perform strongly in the semifinal
– Winning here secures a direct ticket to the championship game.
3. Maintain teamwork and intensity
– Build on the powerful Traylor–King partnership.
– Keep their strong defensive discipline, which is critical at this level.
4. Avoid previous mistakes
– Reduce turnovers and improve shot efficiency.
If REG continues to play at the level they displayed today, they are only two steps away from reaching the biggest stage in African women’s basketball.
REG WBBC remains determined to write a new chapter in Rwanda’s basketball history. Their recent performances give hope that the long awaited dream reaching the WBLA final may be within reach.
As the journey continues, the energy grows, and Rwandan fans keep chanting with pride:
